The first Jonathan's (village café) was opened in 1993 in downtown Nashville's Hillsboro Village just blocks away from Vanderbilt University. The hundred year-old brick building that had been vacant for six years quickly became a favorite local meeting place and restaurant.
Owner Jonathan Nebel came to Nashville that year with his wife and three children with a vision that began in 1980 in Sea Cliff, NY and then continued though to Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Throughout those years, Jon owned and operated seven restaurant/deli's and those became the building blocks of his present operation.
With the addition of the restaurant in Bellevue, Jonathan's Grille quickly became identified within these local neighborhoods as a friendly and relaxed, casual-dining experience.
By offering great food and drinks at an incredible value, along with opportunities to watch your favorite sporting events, Jonathan's has attracted a broad variety of local and loyal customers.
